The management and staff of Frederick Mutual Insurance Company are pleased to announce that Michael Evans has joined Frederick Mutual as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO). As CUO, he will be responsible for the Company’s underwriting, marketing and product development functions.

 

Michael comes to FMIC with 26 years of experience in the property and casualty industry with a concentration in commercial middle market underwriting and management. He began his career as a commercial underwriter with Ohio Casualty and held increasingly responsible positions with Ohio Casualty and St. Paul / Travelers. He also worked as a managing general agent. Michael’s most recent position was Vice President with Zurich Insurance in Baltimore. Michael is a graduate of Trenton State College with a Bachelors Degree in Economics and resides in Owings Mills, MD with his wife Irene.

 

Michael will lead Frederick Mutual’s entry into the commercial middle market segment. Our objective is to provide sound products and competitive pricing for our agents and policyholders.
